Meet the Band!
Trevor Winder – Bass & Lead Vocals
Born in Chino, California and now calling Summerville, Oregon home, Trevor Winder has been chasing that feeling ever since Eddie Van Halen’s “Eruption” melted his 12-year-old brain.
A disciple of Clapton’s soul and Victor Wooten’s superhuman groove, he plays bass like it’s an extension of his heartbeat and sings with a voice that can go from Sunday-morning smooth to Saturday-night gravel in the same breath.
As the frontman and low-end general of The Tattered Hounds, Trevor brings the funk, the feel, and the fire on every note. When the band tears into “Amie” or “Midnight Rider” you can thank (or blame) him for why the whole room suddenly knows every word.
Soulful. Smooth. Funky. That’s Trevor Winder
Jeff Cusumano- The Drummer
Jeff began playing the drums at the age of 10, exploring a diverse range of musical genres, including gospel, marching band, jazz, and rock ‘n’ roll during his high school years. His passion for music continued throughout college, even as he pursued a degree in physical therapy. Now in his late 50s, music remains a central and enduring part of Jeff’s life. He currently performs with The Tattered Hounds, a seasoned group of musicians, and continues to follow his lifelong passion for music.
Jim Raymond- Lead Guitar, Vocals
Jim Raymond is a seasoned musician whose career spans decades of live performance across the western United States and beyond. He began playing in a country band in John Day, Oregon, while still in high school in the early 1970s, quickly establishing himself as a versatile player.
In 1974, Jim moved to La Grande, Oregon, where he joined a rock and roll band called Bones. During this time, he performed regularly, including a year-long run of weekend shows at Odie’s Café & Lounge in nearby Elgin.
By the summer of 1975, Jim took his music on the road, joining a Baker City-based band called Shaniko. This marked the beginning of an extensive touring period, performing throughout the Midwest and Canada with multiple bands and gaining valuable experience as a working musician.
In 1987, Jim returned to Eastern Oregon and became a familiar presence in the local music scene, performing at the Tropidara (known locally as “The Trop”) in downtown La Grande.
He later relocated to the Tri-Cities, Washington area in 1996, where he continued to make a living through music. In 2000, Jim transitioned from full-time performance to a career in information technology, taking a position with Hewlett-Packard.
Today, Jim continues to play music part-time, bringing decades of experience, skill, and passion to every performance as a bassist, lead guitarist, and vocalist.
Nathan Harris- Guitar & Vocals
Nathan Harris brings a fearless musical spirit and a killer sense of pitch and harmony to The Tattered Hounds. From a very early age he was singing in church and school, and “jamming” with his family around the piano, an upbringing that shaped his ear for music.
In middle and high school he played trombone, playing in jazz, concert, and marching bands. In high school, Nathan learned guitar, teaching himself through tab books, everything from Metallica to The Grateful Dead.
As an adult, he honed his guitar chops in multiple productions at the Elgin Opera House, performing in shows such as School of Rock, Mamma Mia, Shrek, and several others.
Today, Nathan is one of two guitarists and three vocalists in The Tattered Hounds. He adds his guitar work to the band’s rich twin-guitar sound and delivers harmony vocals that have become a trademark layer in the group’s sound.
